Melvin and Marvin say...

I think everyone can agree that this year has been a very unusual year for all. What I'm wishing for Christmas 2020 is a beautiful Vintage kind of Christmas. What I think of when I hear Vintage Christmas, is a small town, beautiful twinkling lights, Ice skating on the nearest frozen pond and maybe a chance to see a version of the nutcracker at the nearest school or theater. What a beautiful scene that would be. I think this year needs some joy like that.

Today, on National Teddy Bear Day, we talk both Teddy Bears and saluting, which brings to mind an amazing group that puts your old military uniforms to good use. USO of Wisconson, where volunteers will use them to make teddy bears for kids whose parents are deployed. If you are able to donate uniforms or would like to help make bears, please go to wi.uso.org/support/donate. Please help if you can. Your donation can also be to check on a soldier, just like you would a neighbor. Let them know you are thinking of them, appreciate their sacrifice, or just sending them a bear hug. You will be glad you did.
